According to Julien Maynard, French Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele will not be joining Paris Saint-Germain this window. The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is not in Antonio Conte’s plans and therefore needs a move.

The 25-year-old Frenchman is not favoured by Spurs. Having been booed by some of the fans after the FA Cup win against Morecambe, Ndombele finds himself adrift.

Heading home to France seemed like the best option, and PSG were top of the list. However, the move appears now to have been scuppered.

Agreement over a fee is certainly not an issue. Les Parisiens are one of the richest clubs in Europe. The problem is that the French Ligue 1 leaders have no space available in midfield. Ndombele would be in direct competition with 13 others for the midfield role.

Marco Veratti, Leandro Pardes and Angel Di Maria are just three of the first-team midfielders that PSG have to choose from. Without the transfer out of the French club of one of the midfielders, there would be no way that Ndombele would make the first team.

Ndombele will want to move and ensure he gets more playing time. Since being dropped, the 25-year-old has been training alone, away from the rest of the first team. But, the midfielder could struggle as the window closes on Monday.

Apparently, PSG want to add to their squad, and it is possible that a swap deal could be on the cards. Both Georgino Wijnaldum and Julian Draxler are open to a move to England. Although financially PSG can pay for Ndombele, Spurs are apparently insisting that the French side pay all of the wages whilst Ndombele is on loan with them.

The midfielder will need to find a way back into the Spurs fold, otherwise Ndombele will find himself without first-team football for the rest of the season. No player wants to be without games, so Ndombele and his agents will be working on any solution they can.
