It has been a summer in which there have been several rumours linking Madueke with a big move away from PSV. However, it ends with Noni Madueke signing a new contract with the Dutch club, reflecting his growing importance to the side.

“I’m delighted to be able to extend my contract at this beautiful club. I’ve been here since I was 16, and I’m happy that the journey’s going to continue.”

A Star on the Rise

Madueke joined PSV as a 16-year-old in 2018, leaving Tottenham Hotspur and rejecting Manchester United in the process. He made his debut in the 2019/20 season, as he looked to break his way into the first-team squad.

It was last season though, that Madueke really started to show what he’s got. Although he only started six Eredivisie games, making a further 17 appearances off the bench, he scored seven goals and got six assists.

Noni Madueke continues to go from strength-to-strength, having already found the back of the net six times this season. He will undoubtedly be a key player this campaign, and could inspire PSV to their first Eredivisie title since 2017/18.
