Sheffield Wednesday are eyeing a move for Queens Park Rangers attacker Olamide Shodipo, according to Joe Crann of the Sheffield Star. Owls boss Darren Moore is looking to bring in at least one more winger as Wednesday prepare for life back in League One.

Loan Likely

Wednesday are looking to take the QPR man on loan after he impressed at Oxford United last season. The Republic of Ireland youth international scored 11 goals in 39 appearances as Karl Robinson’s side reached the play-offs in the third tier.

However, he would also bring Championship experience, having played 27 times for QPR since making his debut under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on the opening day of the 2016/17 season.

Shodipo has also featured for Port Vale and Colchester United in the EFL, making six appearances for each of them during loan spells.

More Deals for Wednesday

The Owls have already made their first summer signing with the addition of former Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran. The 22-year-old made one appearance for Fulham before joining Everton in 2017, and he had a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers last season.

Adeniran featured in a pre-season friendly on Saturday as Wednesday ran out 2-0 winners at National League North side Chester.

Crann also reports that the Owls have taken former Chelsea defender Renedo Masampu on trial and are keen on Arsenal left-back Tolaji Bola, who made 11 appearances on loan at Rochdale last season.
