Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan has completed a medical ahead of a move to AC Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Milan have moved quickly to sign the French international with the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma unclear. Maignan enjoyed an outstanding season and played a major role in Lille’s title win.
According to Romano, Maignan will join for €15 million and sign a contract until 2026.

The French goalkeeper sparkled as Lille secured a first league title in a decade. Maignan kept 21 clean sheets and grew better and better as the season progressed.
The goalkeeper has been one of the most consistent players in Ligue 1 for several seasons. He is a commanding stopper who leads from the back, organising the defence and regularly motivating his teammates.
He can certainly make the same impact at AC Milan as they gear up for their first Champions League campaign in seven years. Stefano Pioli’s team, themselves, had a terrific season, finishing runners up to Inter Milan. They secured Champions League football in style and now preparations are underway to strengthen their squad.
Maignan is the start of their business as they plot a title push next season as well as progress in the Champions League.
Maignan’s Arrival Leaves Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Future in Doubt
With AC Milan set to add a new goalkeeper, the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma remains unclear. His contract at AC Milan expires at the end of June and the two parties are no closer to an agreement.
However, according to Romano, a resolution will soon be reached. Donnarumma has been a key player for AC Milan for several seasons, clocking up over 200 appearances for the club since making his senior debut at the age of 16. He is still only 22 and may want a new challenge elsewhere.
AC Milan have moved quickly to sign Mike Maignan. Whether he and Donnarumma will compete for the number one spot next season is a complete mystery.
