Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic scored his 12th goal of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt. The 23-year-old Austrian striker has scored the second-most goals in the league when it comes to players under the age of 24.

As the season continues, Kalajdzic has continued to show he is among the best young players in the German top flight.

Strong Start to Second Half of the Season For Kalajdzic

Kalajdzic has really turned up the heat in the second half of the season when it comes to scoring goals. Since Matchday 18, the striker has registered seven goals in six appearances. Just over half of his 12 goals have come in the second half of Stuttgart’s Bundesliga campaign and he’s showing no signs of stopping anytime soon with his recent form.

This strong showing from the Austrian international has allowed him to become Stuttgart’s top scorer as he has surpassed Silas

A Rising Talent

The 2020/21 season is proving to be a breakout campaign for Kalajdzic. Up until this season, the striker had yet to register a double-digit goal-scoring season. He scored one goal in six appearances last season for Stuttgart and had registered eight goals for Admira in the Austrian Bundesliga the season prior. With ten Bundesliga fixtures remaining for Stuttgart this season, he could very well eclipse the 15 goal mark which would be a massive improvement from previous seasons.

If Kalajdzic continues to impress then it will be interesting to see if bigger clubs make a move for him in the summer transfer window. As he is on track for a 15-20 goal season in the Bundesliga, it’s very likely he will attract interest from the top clubs within Germany and abroad. This would be an impressive goal total that won’t be ignored by clubs who need to bring in young talented goal scorers. Keep an eye on Kalajdzic as he is emerging as a top attacking player.
