Wanted By the Club Throughout the Window
It has been no secret that the Premier League side were desperate to bring the player to the club this transfer window and they have finally sealed a deal for their man on deadline day.
The youngster joins the club on a deal which will secure his long-term future at the English side – with Caicedo agreeing to a deal until 2025.
Impressive for Club and Country
He has been highly sought after due to his performances for club and country. He has already made his debut for Ecuador despite his tender age and for former club Independiente, he was a regular in the side. Featuring 25 times, he scored four goals and made one assist from midfield and impressed many.
Brighton have been eager to get a deal done as soon as possible and have been linked with a permanent deal for Caicedo throughout the window. It’s taken the club some time to get a deal done but it is finally across the line (that is, of course, unless he doesn’t get international clearance to secure a move to England).
Brighton Boss Graham Potter Delighted With Moises Caicedo Signing
Speaking about the deal, Graham Potter was delighted. He said: “It’s no secret we have been working to bring Moises to the club, and we are very pleased he is finally here.
“He will need time to settle in with the group, for us to get to know him and vice versa, as well as get up to speed and ready for the demands of the Premier League.
“He has done very well in Ecuador and made his debut for his country at just 18.
“He’s an exciting signing, but it is important we give him time to adjust.”
Whether he will be able to adjust to the physical demands of the Premier League is sure to be seen throughout the remainder of the season.
