Fleetwood Town Midfielder Harrison Biggins Attracting Interest From League One Rivals

Fleetwood Town midfielder Harrison Biggins has emerged as a transfer target for three clubs in League One, according to reports from Football Insider.

Fleetwood Town Midfielder in Demand

Harrison Biggins is a wanted man. Out of contract in the summer, Oxford United, Plymouth Argyle and MK Dons are all reported to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old.

Biggins is currently on loan at League Two outfit Barrow, where he has found the net once and added three assists from 25 outings.

His impressive displays could prompt one of the interested teams to sign the midfielder during the January transfer rather than waiting until the summer, where he will be available for nothing.

Teams Chasing Biggings

As per the report, Oxford United, Plymouth Argyle and MK Dons are keeping tabs on the central midfielder. A move for Oxford makes sense. The U’s are set to lose Marcus McGuane and Liam Kelly in the summer when returning to their parent clubs, while Jamie Hanson, Mark Sykes and Anthony Forde are all out of contract at the end of the season.

For Argyle, Tyrese Fornah, Joe Edwards and Danny Mayor are all out of contract at Home Park at the end of the season and manager Ryan Lowe will be looking for depth in midfield.

It’s a similar story for MK Dons. Andrew Surman, Louis Thompson, Jordan Houghton, Lasse Sörensen and John Freeman could all depart in the summer.

Biggins at Fleetwood

Biggins joined Fleetwood in 2017 from non-league side Stocksbridge Park Steels. He has since surpassed 50 appearances for the League One side, where he has turned out 40 times in the league.

His only goal for the Cod Army came during a 3-1 defeat at home to Barnsley in 2018.
