Tiemoue Bakayoko Wants to Stay at Napoli

Tiemoue Bakayoko is desperate to complete a permanent move to Napoli after joining on an initial loan.

The midfielder has reignited his career and following his first goal for the Naples side at the weekend, things could not be going more smoothly.

Tiemoue Bakayoko Wants Permanent Move

Agent Speak Out

His agent – Abdoulaye Bakayoko, who happens to be his brother – confirmed as much: When speaking to Radio Marte via Football Italia, he said: “He is very happy for his first goal. It’s been a long time since he had scored the last one. The goal has boosted his self-esteem; he always wants to help the team.

“He has played for many clubs, but he is happy at Napoli, the results are there, and this club would be an ideal option for the future. Napoli are Scudetto contenders; a positive ending is in everyone’s interest. Napoli will be his priority in June.”

Prospects of a Deal

It has been a difficult few years for Bakayoko. Having left Monaco to join Chelsea, the Frenchmen failed to hold down a regular starting place. Loan spells at AC Milan and Monaco followed without permanent moves. Despite the optimism at Napoli, there are no guarantees that Bakayoko will stay with the Italian side.

His agent told added: “It’s too early to talk about that; there are many things that must be considered. He is on loan until the end of the season, and he hasn’t talked to the club yet, but staying at Napoli would be a nice opportunity, we’ll see.”

With Bakayoko not wanting to return to his parent club, he will be desperate to thrash out a deal that would secure his long-term future. And with plenty of time to run in the transfer window, Bakayoko to Napoli is one to keep an eye on.
