Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is keen on re-signing Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Nigerian spent the second half of last season on loan at the San Siro.

Loan Spell Last Season

Moses joined Inter Milan after seeing his loan with Turkish side Fenerbahce cut short midway through last season. He made just seven appearances in Turkey, scoring one goal.

However, he enjoyed a more successful period under Conte, who was his manager at Stamford Bridge. Moses made 20 appearances in all competitions, as Inter made it to the Europa League final, as well as second place in Serie A.

The 29-year-old operated predominantly as right wing-back, which is where he succeeded under Conte at Chelsea. The Nigerian eventually became the first-choice right-back under the Italian boss at Stamford Bridge due to his attacking qualities.

Marcos Alonso Unlikely to Join

Inter have held interest in two Chelsea players throughout the summer, one being Moses.

Conte has been keen to bring Marcos Alonso to the San Siro this summer. The Italian brought the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge in 2016, and he enjoyed an excellent first season, scoring six goals in all competitions.

It was arguably Alonso’s most successful period with the Blues, as he has struggled in a back four under both Maurizio Sarri and current manager Frank Lampard.

However, it does not look like he will be reuniting with his former boss. Speaking about the possibility of the Spaniard joining, Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta said: “We’re not going to sign Marcos Alonso on the deadline day.”

Marotta also confirmed that Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan could leave the San Siro. The player is reportedly unhappy at Inter, and Marotta said that they will not keep a player who is seeking to leave.
