Grady Diangana is set for a medical with West Bromwich Albion according to The Telegraph’s John Percy.

The winger spent last season on loan at the Hawthorns and was integral as West Brom secured promotion to the Premier League.

A Potential Club Record Deal for West Brom

Diangana was outstanding for West Brom last season as they secured promotion. His goals, creativity and general exciting play made him one of the best players in the Championship.

The deal agreed could potentially reach £18 million, which would be a club record. Slaven Bilic has been desperate for reinforcements as he looks to boost his team ahead of the new season.

West Ham must raise funds to sign new players and the sale of Diangana will certainly help David Moyes. The Hammers are yet to make a signing this summer and, with the season drawing nearer, there is concern they are missing out on their transfer targets.

Diangana’s sale will certainly give Moyes a significant boost as he chases Brentford’s Said Benrahma. The sale of Diangana could accelerate West Ham’s pursuit of the Brentford winger.

West Brom Set to Beat Premier League Rivals to Diangana

The one hitch in West Brom’s pursuit of Diangana is interest elsewhere. Earlier today, it was being reported that Aston Villa and Fulham were attempting to hijack the deal, according to Sky’s Rob Dorsett. But, it looks as though West Brom have won the race for their top target.

Diangana’s arrival is certainly a huge signing for the Baggies. He will reunite with Slaven Bilic once again and certainly become the key creative figure in the Baggies team.
