Millwall have signed both Mason Bennett and Scott Malone from fellow Championship side Derby County. Bennett joins the Lions on a permanent deal, whilst Malone has agreed on a season-long loan.

Bennett Returns to the Den on Permanent Deal
Bennett has joined the East London club for an undisclosed fee, bringing to a close his time at Derby. The forward made his debut for the Rams at just 15-years-old in 2011 and is still the club’s youngest ever first-team player and goalscorer.
Bennett returns to Gary Rowett‘s side after spending the second half of last season on loan with them.
He made nine appearances for the Lions, scoring twice, predominantly playing out wide, however, he has the ability to also play as a centre forward.
The 24-year-old leaves Pride Park after more than a decade at the club. He racked up 90 appearances for the Rams but only returned six goals in that time.
Derby Let Malone Join Millwall on Loan
Following Bennett down south to join the Londoners, Scott Malone rejoins his former club on a season-long loan. The full-back’s opportunities were limited when football returned in June.
Despite making a total of 21 appearances for Phillip Cocu‘s side last term, he played just three minutes of football after the restart.
Craig Forsyth, Max Lowe and more recently youngster Lee Buchanan have been favoured by Cocu for the left-back position.
Malone was signed in the summer of 2018 by Frank Lampard and played 35 matches during the 2018/19 season as Derby fell just short of promotion.
However, with one year left on his current deal at Pride Park and few chances expected under Cocu, a loan move back to his former club makes sense for the 29-year-old.
Malone played 71 times for the East London side between 2012 and 2015 before joining Cardiff City.
