Career so Far

Davis began his career with Crewe Alexandra, making his first-team debut at the age of 18.

The now-28-year-old spent the majority of the last decade with the Railwaymen, only leaving the club in 2017.

During his time at Gresty Road, he made over 200 appearances and quickly became a mainstay at the heart of their defence.

However, he was released by the club in 2017. Davis made the permanent switch to Scottish club St Mirren, following an initial loan spell.

His time in Scotland only lasted one season, as he returned to England to join Grimsby Town in the summer of 2018. He made 64 appearances in total for the Mariners, scoring four goals.

What Was Said?

Speaking to the official Morecambe website about joining the club, Davis said: “I spoke to the manager and he really made me feel wanted and in football that is a big thing. I’m delighted to be here and looking forward to getting going.

“I know a few of the lads such as A-Jay Leitch-Smith from my time at Crewe and I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the lads and getting out there and playing games and hopefully having an enjoyable and successful season.’’

Meanwhile, manager Derek Adams spoke about how the defender’s experience at League Two level will help the Shrimps in the forthcoming season.

“Harry comes in from Grimsby and is another with good experience at this level,” he said.

“He can play right or left centre half and is a player who has a physical presence who uses the ball well and gives us more strength at the back.”
