REPORT: Bayern Munich Reveal Price for Thiago Alcantara

No Offers for Thiago

Despite revealing the asking price for Thiago, Bayern are yet to receive any offers for the 29-year-old.

The club assumed that the Spanish midfielder spoke to clubs already ahead of a transfer. However, Thiago told the Bayern hierarchy that he is yet to speak to any interested parties.

Despite being linked with the midfielder, Liverpool haven’t made an offer to Bayern for Thiago.

The Spanish international has one year remaining on his current contract, which expires in 2021. Thiago was reportedly offered a new contract recently which he turned down to move away from Munich this summer.

Will Liverpool Pay €30 Million?

Despite the rumours that Thiago will join Liverpool this summer, it is still unclear whether the Reds will match the asking price for the Spaniard.

Speaking to Bleacher Report about the situation, Christian Falk explains how the fee is crucial in the deal. He believes Liverpool won’t spend big this summer.

Falk said: “I think he is very sure he has a club, and I think we know the club! But the question is whether they pay the fee. We are speaking about Liverpool, and they are not looking to spend too much money this year—that’s why they missed on [Timo] Werner.”

Falk also spoke about how Thiago wants to force a move away from Die Bayern. He said: “The way he has gone about this is not gentleman-like, so I think he will leave.”

Thiago signed for Munich in 2013 from Barcelona. He made over 200 appearances for the Bundesliga champions, including 36 in all competitions this season.
