Key Trio to Miss Upcoming Fixtures

Manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the news following their 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on Thursday night.

England internationals Chilwell (foot) and Maddison (hip) have missed the past few games for the Foxes.

It had been hoped they would return to fitness in time for the end of the season crunch games; however, both are now confirmed to be absent from the last two games.

Austrian international defender Christian Fuchs, meanwhile, missed out for the first time on Thursday night.

He is set for three months on the sidelines with a groin problem.

Fuch’s injury meant 19 year-old local lad Luke Thomas made his Foxes debut. The teenager produced a man of the match performance as he grabbed an assist.

Rodgers will already be without the services of Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu for this weekend’s trip to Tottenham.

The former Liverpool manager is now left sweating on the fitness of Marc Albrighton, currently another major doubt for what is a pivotal game in the race for the top four.

After the trip to Spurs, Leicester host Manchester United in what looks set to be a final day Champions League place showdown.

Undoubtedly, James Maddison and Ben Chilwell will be the biggest misses for the Foxes.

Creative midfielder, Maddison, has been influential this season, his six goals and three assists in the Premier League have helped fire the team to top-four contention.

His absence puts a major dent in the club’s Champions League qualification hopes.

Leicester’s victory on Thursday reignited their top-four hopes after what had been a less than convincing run of form.

They sit fourth, level on points with Manchester United but ahead on goal difference.
