Crewe Alexandra have signed striker Offrande Zanzala from Accrington Stanley. The striker arrives on a free transfer and becomes the Railwaymen’s first signing since securing promotion to League One.

Zanzala has plenty of experience at this level having spent the last two seasons with Accrington. He will certainly add some extra firepower to Crewe’s attack.

Zanzala Arrives on a Free Transfer From Accrington Stanley

Crewe announced via their website they had signed the talented striker. Zanzala arrives on a free transfer and has signed a one-year deal at Gresty Road.

Zanzala is no stranger to League One and will bring some experience to a young Crewe side. He is only 23 but his years at this level will help a Crewe side making the step up to League One.

The Congolese striker began his club career with Derby County. He has also spent time on loan at Stevenage, Chester and Accrington Stanley before joining the latter on a permanent deal.

Zanzala has spent the last two seasons with Accrington, clocking up 60 appearances and scoring 14 goals. He was a hugely popular figure with the Lancashire club and will be missed.

David Artell will be delighted to have him on board as he plots a successful season in League One. The Railwaymen sparkled at times in League Two and Artell will be looking for more of the same.

Zanzala Brings More Firepower to an Already Potent Crewe Attack

Zanzala’s arrival at Gresty Road brings more firepower and competition for places. The 23-year-old is experienced at this level and has proven he can score goals.

However, he will have to compete for his place in the team. The experienced Chris Porter continues to deliver while Charlie Kirk enjoyed his best ever goals return last season.

Zanzala will bring plenty of pace and the ability to get in behind defenders. He adds further competition and his signing could be a shrewd move by David Artell.
