Remi Savage and James Norris Sign First Professional Contracts at Liverpool

Liverpool youngsters Remi Savage and James Norris have signed their first professional contracts. The teenagers become the latest youngsters to commit their futures to the Reds.

The deals continue Liverpool’s growing commitment to utilising their academy to bring through future stars.

Remi Savage and James Norris Sign Professional Liverpool Deals

Savage Signs

Liverpool announced via their website Savage had signed his first professional contract. The young centre-half has been with the Reds since the age of nine.

The 18-year-old has been a regular in the academy since joining. A composed centre-back by nature, his defensive qualities have excited many of the coaches and clearly caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp.

Savage was a regular for the U18s last season and gained some experienced with the U21 squad in the Leasing.com trophy. He also featured for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League.

Savage has also made a handful of appearances for the U23s. His greatest achievement thus far was being part of the Liverpool U19 squad which won the FA Youth Cup in 2019.

Norris Goes Pro

As well as Remi Savage, Liverpool have also announced James Norris has signed his first professional contract.

The 17-year-old joined Liverpool’s U9s and has progressed well through the ranks. A full-back by trade, Norris has impressed with a string of good performances across all levels of the academy.

Norris has largely played for the U18s but has featured for the U23s on several occasions. He made his full Liverpool debut in the Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Aston Villa earlier this season. Norris was also in the historic squad that knocked League One side Shrewsbury Town out the FA Cup.

Norris also played an important in the U19 UEFA Youth League.
