Bayern Munich remain intent on signing Manchester City winger Leroy Sané in a deal worth a proposed £60 million, with the German powerhouses not willing to bargain any further, according to Sky Sports.

Bayern Munich Remain Intent on Signing Leroy Sané This Summer

Transfer Saga Continues

Sané, who has not played for Manchester City since suffering a major knee injury against Liverpool in the 2019 Community Shield, has remained in Bayern’s line of sight throughout the whole 2019/20 season.

After talks broke down last summer in a deal worth a proposed £110 million, the Germans’ market value has naturally plummeted due to this season-ending injury he endured, and also the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic on football transfers.

Numerous sources have suggested that Bayern will go no further than this reported £60 million price-tag, after monitoring Sané’s rehabilitation.

Bayern Want a Star Player

Following their decision not to poach Sané in the January transfer market, Bayern has stuck to their guns and regard the German winger as their number one target this summer to bolster the line-up.

A player with natural-born ability, the 24-year-old has lit up the Manchester City attacking-line since his £45 million transfer from Schalke in 2016.

Scoring 39 goals and garnering 45 assists for Pep Guardiola’s side, Sané has helped the Citizens to Premier League glory on two occasions, along with an FA Cup winners medal and two League Cup triumphs.

But it is the German outfit look the likely suitors to capture the young winger’s signature and bring him back to his native land.

In the market for two-star players, Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic recently told German press: “We want to strengthen ourselves with a top talent from Europe and also bring an international star to Munich, who enhances the quality of our team and helps the team to offer our spectators strong and attractive football.”

What Does Sané Bring?

The ultimate winger who can provide an assist out of nothing, along with his keen eye for goal, has firmly placed Sane as one of footballs most feared wide players.

Injury setbacks have put his career on temporary hiatus, however, his potential move to Bayern may provide the perfect relief to kick-start his midfield wizardry once more.

To make matters more interesting, numerous reports have suggested that Sane has recently held a 30-minute phone-call with Bayern boss Hans-Dieter Flick about this proposed transfer.

The Sane transfer saga will no doubt be one of the more interesting in the coming weeks.
