The Red Devils’ Transfer Plans

United seem to have big plans for the summer transfer window, despite the financial difficulties which the Coronavirus has caused.

One player they are pursuing extremely closely, Jadon Sancho would cost a lot of money. £120 million would smash their current record, held by Paul Pogba, but may well be worth it. The Englishman has 14 goals and 15 assists this season, scoring the third-most in the Bundesliga this campaign, assisting the second-highest, and having the top overall direct goal contributions in the league for 2019/209.

Furthermore, his great assist count puts him third for Europe’s top five leagues, incredibly impressive for anyone, let alone a player who, at the beginning of the season, was a teenager.

Also, attacking midfielders Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham are high on their wishlist.

With Aston Villa looking likely to go back down to the Championship at the end of this season, not even Grealish’s masterful performances have been able to save them. The Villains currently sit in the drop zone, however, their English magician has attracted strong interest from United. Although he is reportedly rated at £70 million by Villa, Grealish could still join United in the summer, with the Red Devils making him one of their top transfer priorities for the summer.

Bellingham, one of the most promising talents in Europe this season, also looks like he might be on his way to Old Trafford soon. The 16-year-old has displayed incredible maturity this season for Birmingham City and has attracted interest from all over Europe, including the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.

Maddison Resignations

United are pessimistic about signing James Maddison this summer. Although their interest in him was strong at the beginning of the season, it has weakened with the quality of Grealish’s performances, and he now looks set to sign a new deal with Leicester City.
