Attracting Interest

Europe’s most elite clubs are monitoring Sancho. The likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in the 20-year-old, but Manchester United and Chelsea have emerged as favourites, with Sancho preferring a move back to his native England.

Chelsea are keen on the London born winger and want to bring him back to his boyhood city. They are willing to part with the large sum of money which it would take to persuade Borussia Dortmund to let go of him, and he would be a huge addition to Frank Lampard’s young and rapidly improving Chelsea side.

United have also been closely watching the Englishman, and seem to be leading the race for his signature. Like Chelsea’s, United’s squad is full of youth, and Sancho would fit in perfectly at Old Trafford.

Why Manchester United Want Sancho

Fitting with the Red Devils’ young and British criteria for the players they are trying to sign for their rebuild, Sancho would be a fantastic addition to United’s side. His pace is a great asset, as it would work with fellow pacy attackers, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James, but his technical ability is also world-class. The 20-year-old has 29 direct goal contributions this season, showing his class. Being so young, he will improve even further.

More Details of Romano’s Tweet

Along with saying that United are in talks with Sancho’s agent, Romano’s tweet had other contents. Dortmund have said that they are not going to change the Englishman’s price due to Coronavirus, wanting no less than €110 million for him. Despite the positive outlook for United fans, the Red Devils have not launched an official bid for Sancho as of yet, and, alike to all big-money transfers, this will not be a deal that moves quickly.
