The Deal

Swindon announced via their website they had signed the striker. Muskwe arrives on loan for the remainder of the season determined to fire Swindon into League One.

Muskwe arrives alongside Hallam Hope who joined the Robins last week. Both have come in to fill the goal void left by Eoin Doyle and Jerry Yates. Thirty-five goals were taken from Swindon after Doyle and Yates were recalled by their parent clubs.

Muskwe has been a regular for Leicester’s U23s, scoring ten goals this season – three of those being in the Leasing.com Trophy.

He is highly thought off at Leicester and his parent club will be hoping he gets the necessary game time and experience while at Swindon.

He is a Zimbabwe international making four appearances for the country of his birth. Muskwe has been an integral part of the Under 23s success at Leicester this season. The Foxes sit second in the Premier League 2.

His impressive performances earned him a nomination for December’s player of the month in the Premier League 2.

The 21-year old’s arrival is a major boost to the League Two leaders, and he will hope he can fire them to promotion. Richie Wellens’ attacking philosophy will certainly suit the pacey striker.

He is raring to go but will not feature in tonight’s game against Colchester United but is eligible for their crucial top of the table clash with Exeter City on Saturday.

What Was Said

Speaking to the Swindon website about his move, Muskwe said: “I’m raring to go. I like the style of play here – it’s attacking, and I think that will suit me. I’m just eager to get going and try and help the team.”
