What Was Said

Speaking to the official Ross County website, managers Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell said: “We are delighted to bring in somebody like Jordan who, at 26 has had a great experience in English football.

“He came to us very well recommended and we really look forward to him joining up with the group and becoming part of our club.”

Football League Experience

Tillson has vast experience within the English Football League, having spent the majority of his career with Exeter City in League Two.

The 26-year-old made his debut for the Grecians in 2014; however, prior to that, he had two loan spells with Gloucester City and Chippenham Town retrospectively.

Following that, he became a mainstay in the Exeter defence. Last season he made 21 appearances as his side finished ninth in League Two.

However, he has fallen out of favour at St James Park, making just two appearances in the first half of the 2019/20 campaign.

New Beginning for Jordan Tillson at Ross County

As a result of being deemed surplus to requirements, Tillson has opted to join Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

The Staggies currently sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership, with 21 points from 20 games.

County currently sit three points ahead of Hamilton, who occupy the relegation play-off place. As a result, co-managers Ferguson and Kettlewell will be hoping that their form can improve in the second half of the season.

They are currently without a win in their last three games, and have just two wins 14 league fixtures.

Ross County face lower league side Ayr in the Scottish Cup, before hosting Hearts in a pivotal bottom of the table clash in the Scottish Premiership.
