Leyton Orient will want to get back to winning ways. After losing 3-0 away to Macclesfield Town then suffering another 2-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle in the Carabao Cup, the O’s shall be looking to bounce back when they host Stevenage, who make the short trip to E10.

Leyton Orient Eager to Get Back to Winning Ways

Two Defeats in a Row Bring Leyton Orient Back Down to Earth

Last weekend, the O’s were humbly beaten 3-0 by Macclesfield Town. That defeat would have brought the fans and players back down to earth. Also, it was also viewed as a reality check for what this season has in-store.

Then on Tuesday night, they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup. Orient lost 2-0 at Home Park to a Pilgrims side who have started off the season very well. None the less, the two previous results will have put things into perspective.

Thus, the forthcoming fixture against Stevenage will be a good opportunity to restart their momentum.

A Slow Start for Visitors Stevenage

Coming into this fixture, it has been a slow start for Stevenage to the season. Losing their opening day fixture 2-0 away to Salford City, they then lost 1-0 to a last-minute Exeter City goal.

They would also lose in the Carabao Cup against Southend United, suffering a 2-1 defeat. It has been a fairly slow start to the season for the Hertfordshire side.

Dino Maamria’s team are yet to score this season in the league, so they will most certainly be out to get their campaign off the ground against Leyton Orient. At this point, even despite it being early days, this will be an interesting clash.

Prediction

Both sides are will be looking for something going into this fixture. For Orient, they’ll be looking to bounce back after two defeats in a row. On the other hand, Stevenage will want to get their season up and running.

Therefore, one would imagine there will be goals in this one. However, the two look likely to cancel to each other out.

A 1-1 draw at The Breyer Group Stadium would appear to be a fair result, especially on current early form from both sides.
