FTN: Latest on Harry Maguire, Bailey, N’Zonzi and Martial

Leon Bailey Wanted

One of the breakout youngsters from last season, Leon Bailey has caught the eye of many clubs and managers this summer. Roma look to be the keenest on the winger after losing out to Barcelona for Malcom’s signature. London clubs Chelsea and Arsenal are also keen on bringing the Jamaican to England. With Willian no longer linked with a move to Barcelona, Chelsea are still contemplating whether or not to bid of Bailey. Arsenal have already had a very busy summer and Unai Emery is also not sure if he needs Bailey at the Emirates.

Manchester United Eyeing Up Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire has been the talk of the town after his phenomenal spell at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Reports claim that Manchester United have approached Leicester City to express the interest for the English centre back.

United have not had the transfer window that fans were expecting. However, the addition of Maguire would solve many of their defensive problems. Leicester have already lost one of their star players to Manchester City, Riyad Mahrez, and it is unlikely that the board will want to sell their Player of the Year for last season. If Manchester United are looking to bring Maguire to Old Trafford, a fee in excess of £60 million will be needed, four times what they paid for him last summer.

Barcelona Lurking for N’Zonzi

Arsenal target Steven N’Zonzi is now being linked with a move to Spanish giants, FC Barcelona. Reports claim that Arsenal are not willing to pay the Frenchman’s release clause of £30 million. N’Zonzi was part of France’s victorious World Cup squad and is currently on vacation. His future at Sevilla is still unknown as his release clause is likely to be activated this summer.

Martial Madness Finally Over?

Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has been linked with a move away from United ever since the summer started. The winger struggled to cement a spot in United’s first team last season and that has sparked conversation over his future.

Martial recently left midway through Manchester United’s USA pre-season tour to go back to France for the birth of his second child. With Martial supposedly unhappy at United, league rivals Chelsea and Tottenham are ready to pounce to secure Martial’s signature. A fee in the region of £80 million is what can be expected.
