FTN: Latest on Bale, Radamel Falcao, Can and Jorginho

Gareth Bale

According to ESPN, Manchester United are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale. However, ESPN understands that United are only interested in signing Bale if Madrid are willing to sell the Welshman. Hence Manchester United’s board are reluctant to engage in a transfer saga that may last for weeks. In addition, United have received no indication that Bale is for sale. However, this may all change as Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett is set to meet Real Madrid chiefs to discuss the star’s future.

Bale was unhappy with his game time this season, prompting the interest from United. Consequentially, Zinedine Zidane has left Madrid so Bale may regain his position under new management.

Radamel Falcao

As rumours circulate regarding Radamel Falcao and AC Milan, the Colombian has spoken out about the situation. The AS Monaco striker said, “I’m keeping myself out of it. I’ve seen what the media says about it. I have a contract and right now I’m just thinking about the World Cup”.

However, Radamel Falcao noted his admiration for the Rossoneri, “Milan are one of the best clubs in the world and I’ve always been following them but, for now, as I said I have a contract with Monaco and I’m comfortable there. I feel loved there”.

Furthermore, the striker admits he would like to see Milan’s plans. He says, “We need to see their plans and their project but I’m focused on the World Cup right now. I will analyse everything once it is all finished”.

Falcao would be an interesting signing for Milan as they hope to get back to where they once were.

Emre Can

Calciomercato are reporting that Emre Can has agreed a four-year deal with Juventus. Can will be joining the Serie A champions. Consequentially, Can joins the Bianconeri due to refusing to sign a new contract at Anfield. Once the German completes his medical he will be unveiled in Turin. The midfielder’s medical is expected to take place over the next few days.

Emre Can will join a significant list of players who joined Juventus on a free transfer. Some other big names include Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Dani Alves, Fabio Cannavaro and Sami Khedira. The transfer system of the Turin giants have allowed them to dominate the Serie A over the last number of years.

Jorginho

The Sun reports that Napoli have rejected a €45 million plus €5 million in bonuses offer from Manchester City for Jorginho. Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed this to the Italian press yesterday. Rather than battle Manchester United for Fred, City will pursue Jorginho.

Furthermore, Napoli have just parted ways with Maurizio Sarri and appointed Carlo Ancelotti. Perhaps Napoli are hoping this will persuade Jorginho to stay in Naples. Consequentially, due to City’s financial power and recent success, it seems that if City want a player form a club such as Napoli, they will get the player. Therefore, the smart money is on Jorginho joining Manchester City before the start of next season.
