Fred is a product of the Porto Alegre-based Internacional’s youth academy. He completed a move to Shakhtar Donetsk in June 2013. Until now, Ukraine is where the midfielder played his football.

The player is coming into his prime years, just what Manchester United need. The 25-year-old has featured 20 times for Shakhtar Donetsk this season. Additionally, Fred has scored two goals and registered one assist.

Fred will drive the ball up the pitch and pass the ball forward. This would add more dynamism to United’s attack as their players have developed a habit of backwards passing.
