Red Sox Have Interest In Dodgers Slugger

As more free agents continue to get signed, we await the news of slugger Teoscar Hernandez, who, according to Mark Feinsand, has gained interest from the Boston Red Sox. In addition, Feinsand mentioned that the Red Sox favor Hernandez over Anthony Santander if they can’t land Juan Soto. While Hernandez wants to remain a Dodger, he is also fancied by the idea of playing in Fenway Park. Hernandez is also a supporter of Alex Cora, according to Peter Abraham. The Dodgers also reportedly want to keep Hernandez. The market for Hernandez will surely fuel up once Soto signs with an organization. What’s compelling about this year’s trade market in MLB is that many teams’ decisions are weighing in on Soto’s decision.

Hernandez Remains A Hot Commodity

Hernandez had a spectacular season with the Dodgers, sporting a .272 batting average with 33 home runs, 99 RBIs, 160 hits, and 12 stolen bases. In addition, against Fenway Park across 44 games and 189 plate appearances. Hernandez has slashed .282/.344/.606/.950 with 14 home runs and 44 RBIs. Hernandez would suit the Red Sox as he has a powerful swing that aligns perfectly with Fenway Park. He had a big postseason for the Dodgers in 2024, with 15 hits, three home runs, and 12 RBIs.

Hernandez was one of the most hyped and talked about players in 2024. Aside from his stellar offense, Hernandez also possesses a solid range and an accurate throwing arm. With a .840 OPS and a 3.5 fWAR across 154 games, Hernandez will do a ton of damage in 2025 with his first World Series title at the age of 32. Wherever Hernandez lands, he will be highly cherished as a prominent powerhouse. The 2024 season represented Hernandez as a clutch player who showcased resiliency, hustle, and perseverance.
