NL MVP Future Bets You Need To Make

Come on, isn’t it just a little early to be taking a look at NL MVP Future odds? Hell no.

If you want to get the most bang for your buck, there are several lines you need to look at right now.

But lucky enough for you, I’m here to guide you along. When looking at who you’re going to pick, there are several vital pillars you need to always consider.

First and foremost, you need to look at the big stats. I’m talking OPS, wrc+, OPS+, and most importantly, total WAR.

Next, you need to find someone who is in the right situation. A player who is not only going to stand out but star and carry their team. To win the MVP award, you need to arise and play at the superstar level (duh).

NL MVP Future Bets You Need To Make

Mookie Betts, +800 To Win NL MVP

At +800, I love these NL MVP odds and throwing some units on Mookie Betts. He fits everything I’m looking for.

With the departure of key figures such as Justin Turner, Trea Turner, and Cody Bellinger, the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ 2023 lineup will be a bit less star-studded than in years past.

Yes, I know Freddie Freeman, Gavin Lux, Will Smith, and plenty more still wait in the weeds. But the reality is that Betts will be asked and expected to provide more this season in LA.

Despite battling a bit of an injury bug last season, Betts still put up elite numbers. Posting an OPS north of .870, an xwOBA of .344, a wRC+ of 144, and 35 Homers.

Assuming Betts stays healthy, which I think he will, I expect these numbers to only be better next season. Combine all this with the fact that he plays in one of the largest markets and most recognizable franchises in baseball, and Betts will be thickly in the MVP race this season.

Fernando Tatis Jr., +900 To Win NL MVP

Countless people around the MLB want to write off the 23-year-old former darling of baseball.

And hey, I get it. Motorcycle crashes and PED suspensions, missing the first 20 games of 2023, are hard to look past.

But I cannot resist. At +900 to win the NL MVP, can you blame me?

I cannot deny what I know about Fernando Tatis Jr., the baseball player. When Fernando is on the field, he is a top 5 player in Baseball. He’s a career .965 OPS, 153 wRC+, and 40 plus homers a year talent.

According to Zips DC, No.23 Is projected for a .917 OPS, 156 wRC+, to go along with 37 bombs and 20 plus stolen bases. Those are NL MVP front-runner numbers all day and twice on Sunday.

More so, Tatis will be playing among the most electric lineup and arguably team in the San Diego Padres. All eyes will be on him, and for an MVP hopeful, that’s a damn good thing, folks.

Austin Riley, +1600 To Win NL MVP

People often forget that Riley Rakes. But I don’t, and I never will.

Yes, these are long odds, but Austin Riley is a player who, yet again, fits my mold and will be a player who will undoubtedly garner votes.

For the first half of 2022, Austin was unrecognizable, but in the second half, he set the league ablaze and helped the Atlanta Braves take home another NL East Crown.

In 2023, with a more 100% Ronald Acuna Jr. and Matt Olson protecting him, Riley will mirror more of what he did in the second half of 2022.

And again, ATL is a massive market and will be talked about heavily due to their huge showdowns with the New York Mets and Philidelphia Phillies

At +1600, the 40+ plus, 890+ OPS slugging third basemen is worth betting a unit or two on. Look for Riley to make waves in the NL MVP Race.
