With a regular season reduced to just 60 games, we have even less room for error than normal in the MLB, and the postseason brackets are now ready for all fans to see.

Whether you believe this season should be counted as a standard World Series tilt or you simply view it as a bad egg, there is no doubt that every MLB fan harbors a desire to see their beloved franchise claim the title.

With the World Series confirmed to go ahead beginning October 20th, which two teams do you think will be left standing when all eyes turn to Arlington?

New York Yankees MLB Postseason Outlook

The Yankees have been blowing hot and cold this season, looking like a million dollars when they’re at their best and like minor league dross when they’re not.

For this reason alone it’s hard for even the most loyal New York fan to keep the faith. Websites and apps like PointsBet review their odds on an hourly basis, and for the Yankees team that hasn’t won the World Series since 2009, things don’t look too promising.

Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Postseason Outlook

From the east to the west, no one has a worse record of failing to live up to expectations than the Dodgers, but the peculiarity of this shortened season may just suit them.

Many observers at places like the Bleacher Report and CBS see these perennial disappointments coming good this time around, and with seemingly good reason, but then everyone always says that about the dodgy Dodgers.

Tampa Bay Rays Outlook

If the Yankees fail to fire as they should, you can probably count on the Rays to be there when the postseason dust settles, having made all the regular season running in the American League.

With Snell leading the box of tricks that is their bullpen, their consistency shows no signs of letting up during the playoffs.

 San Diego Padres Outlook

Unlike most of their rival top contenders, the Padres have never got their hands on a World Series title and now seems as good a time as any to right that wrong. Although they are less fancied than other franchises because of their history, San Diego has all the tools required to be victorious come the end of October.

Which of these teams are you picking to perform under pressure and go all the way to glory in the MLB postseason?
