Indie Debuts on AEW Dark
AEW Darkcontinues to be the place where indie talents get a chance to show what they’re made of. Tonight’s card is no exception, as indie stars Holidead, Hyan, and JDX make their debuts tonight.
With her distinctive face paint, Holidead has been working on the indies for several years, including World Wonder Ring Stardom and Ring of Honor. With her distinctive face paint, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that she’s been in a tag team for several years with the mighty Thunder Rosa as Twisted Sisterz. Given the success Rosa has had in AEW, it’s not hard to imagine that Holidead could be close behind.
Another indie talent making her AEW Dark debut tonight is Hyan, who got her start in Booker T‘s Reality of Wrestling promotion. Since then, she’s worked mostly for SHIMMER and AAW Wrestling. She also appeared as part of ROH’s growing women’s division. Hopefully her experience will help her tonight when she gets in the ring with Abadon.
Last but not least is “The Real McCoy,” JDX, who’s been working the indie scene across the U.S. since 2017. Last year, he scored his most high-profile victory to date over ACH at the inaugural Black Wrestlers Matter PPV. Tonight, JDX makes his AEW debut when he faces “Captain” Shawn Dean.
