The Acclaimed’s Max Caster In Singles Action
Max Caster and his tag team partner Anthony Bowens have been taking AEW tag division by storm recently ever since they debuted on the Christmas Eve episode of AEW Dynamite and this week on Dark, Max Caster will be in singles action against Marko Stunt. While many would have not seen Caster in singles action he is very accomplished as a graduate of the Create-A-Pro Wrestling Academy. Caster has wrestled for Beyond Wrestling, Combat Zone Wrestling and A Matter Of Pride Wrestling.
Caster’s career is definitely on an upward trajectory and he seems very happy in AEW, in a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Caster praised Tony Khan for having the foresight to sign himself and Bowens. Caster said “That’s why I think guys like us are here. Anthony is basically a walking meme account. I make diss tracks every single match. Nobody else is doing that, nobody else would think of that. So, Tony Khan sees that in us. Of course, think about that – he signs guys like us, he puts on great matches – Tony Khan booker of the year. Am I right? We’re a young company, and we have a lot of new faces, us included. We are just bringing it into the future. We want to see wrestling grow, and this is what we’re doing. This is what we have to do. I make tracks, he makes faces, and we both put on really great matches.”
Tony Khan must be very happy with how the Acclaimed have debuted on AEW and the match this week on Dark against Marko Stunt will give Caster a further opportunity to prove himself as a singles star.
Aaron Solow in Action
Aaron Solow hit the headlines this week when he announced the end of his long-term relationship with WWE Superstar Bayley. Solow and Bayley first met 11 years ago and were engaged to be married in 2016. Bayley has not commented on the breakup but Solow posted this statement on Twitter.
“This has been an extremely difficult decision to make. Pam and I have come to the realization that we have a completely different idea of what we want our future to look like, because of this we feel that it would be in our best interests to call off our engagement and end our relationship. We have a lot of great memories together that we’ll forever cherish. We’ve agreed to remain friends and will continue to support each other in our careers and lives. We ask that you please respect our privacy on this matter,” wrote Solow on breaking up with Bayley.
Solow has made regular appearances on AEW Dark ever since July 14th, 2020 but has yet to win a match. This week he faces Ryan Nemeth who is also on something of a losing streak ever since joining the company. The match this match could be Solow’s biggest chance to finally get his first win for All Elite Wrestling.
A Host Of Debuts
A number of independent wrestling talents will make their AEW debuts on this loaded edition of AEW Dark. Independent standout and EVOLVE alumni JD Drake takes on Eddie Kingston. JJ Garrett, who has impressed on the indie scene recently, debuts against the veteran presence of QT Marshall. A trio of veterans will debut in one match as Levy Shapiro, Daniel Joseph, and Aaron Fyre team with M’Badu against Bear Country, Sonny Kiss, and Joey Janela. The duo of Tony Vega and Steven Stetson also debut against Top Flight
Also debuting is Chris Peaks, Peaks is teaming with Louie Valle who has been seen on AEW Dark numerous times before. This is notable as the two were a tag team known as Batiri in CHIKARA for many years.
