Mission Pro Wrestling (MPW) set out to crown their first every champion with a tournament that started in November at their show Tournament Out Of Hell. La Rosa Negra and Lacey Ryan made it to the finals of the tournament. The tournament final was held at MPW Run It Back and it was Negra who emerged victorious becoming the first-ever MPW Champion in the process. In previous rounds, La Rosa Negra defeated Madi Wrenkowski and Heidi Howitzer to make it to the final. Ryan on the other hand defeated Vert Vixen and Raychell Rose. MPW has quickly become a proving ground for some of the top women’s wrestlers in the US indie scene. The veteran Negra and rising star Ryan battled to be seen as the leader of this rising wave. In the end, the veteran came out on top.
La Rosa Negra is a 17-year veteran who has competed all around the world for promotions like Stardom, Marvelous, Shine Wrestling, IWA: Puerto Rico, World Wrestling Council, Sendai Girls, and SEAdLINNNG to name just a few. With so much experience to pull from, she will no doubt make an excellent MPW Champion. With experience and talent like hers, she will raise the bar very high for the rest of the roster.
