After a match that saw no true result at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, Stephanie McMahon demanded a rematch between Asuka and Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Championship this week on Monday Night Raw. However, there was a catch. The title was to be treated as if it were vacant even though Asuka was still champion, as if someone were to get counted out or disqualified, they’d lose the match and their opponent would be the champion. And those unique rules came in effect Monday as Sasha Banks became the new Raw Women’s Champion via count-out when Asuka ran to the back to save her best friend, Kairi Sane, from a beat down at the hands of Bayley.

The 2 Woman Power Trip is officially completed as Bayley Dos Straps and 2 Beltz Banks are on top of the WWE, all alone. And in doing so, Asuka seems determined to get her championship back as the rage she showed leaving the trainers room was one we haven’t seen since her NXT days.
For Banks, this is her fifth reign as the Raw Women’s Champion. All of her reigns with the title prior have not made it past her first title defense, so this will be an opportunity for her to rewrite her history and prove she can be a singles champion.
What is next is they will attempt to continue running the women’s division of the WWE, but Bayley must defeat Nikki Cross this Friday night if she has any hope of continuing her great reign and their success as The Golden Role Models. If not, things could get pretty tense between the two.
