At the most recent JUST TAP OUT show at Korakuen Hall Maika faced Stardom‘s Utami Hayashishita in a Future Of Stardom title match. The match was meant to happen back in September but Hayashishita got injured during the 5STAR GP and was replaced by Sareee. The match finally took place and Hayashishita came away with the win. The big story was to come after the match as Giulia appeared and recruited Maika to join her unit.
Utami pinned Maika after the Torture Rack Bomb to retain the title.
After the match Giulia came to the ring and invited Maika to be in her unit. Giulia and Maika left together.

Giulia has been something of a lone wolf since joining Stardom. She briefly teamed with Andras Miyagi but following a recent defeat said “arrivederci” to Miyagi and threw her aside. This left Giulia needing to fill two spots on her team in an upcoming battle with Tokyo Cyber Squad at Stardom’s 9th Anniversary show. With Maika aligning with Giulia we are seeing the formation of another faction in Stardom, one that is seemingly open to working with outsiders.
Maika is a trainee of Taka Michinoku and only debuted in May 2019. Despite her inexperience, she has proven to be a solid talent that can put on good matches with the right opponent. In a promotion like Stardom, she can get more experience while being hidden away in multi-person tags until she’s ready to step up. She adds a fresh face to Giulia’s group which could be an exciting shot in the arm for Stardom.
