Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 3 Adds Jeff Cobb, Barnett vs Moxley

Bloodsport 3

Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) has really mastered taking full advantage of WrestleMania Week each year, starting with Joey Janela’s Spring Break through the efforts of The Collective, to a hard-hitting event called Bloodsport. Originally hosted by now-NXT Superstar Matt Riddle in 2018, last year saw former UFC Heavyweight Champion and NJPW alumni Josh Barnett taking over last spring. A second Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport was held last fall and now the third incarnation arrives this WrestleMania Week in Tampa. And as we close in on that glorious week of wrestling, GCW and Josh Barnett have started to slowly reveal some of the names heading to Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.

Jeff Cobb is Heading to Bloodsport

The Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground, and NJPW star has recently become a free agent after his ROH contract expired (he’s reportedly looking to head to NJPW full time), but first, Jeff Cobb is going to be entering into Bloodsport.

This match was supposed to be the main event of last fall’s Bloodsport, but the same staph infection that kept Jon Moxley out of AEW for a few weeks also forced this match to be cancelled at the time. But no on April 2, the match is back on, as Jon Moxley takes his rugged style to a GCW ring, where he’ll finally face Josh Barnett one-on-one in arguably the toughest card of WrestleMania Week.
