On night two of the Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) World Tag Team Festival, Timothy Thatcher ended the 210-day reign of Bobby Gunns as the wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion in the evening’s main event.

Timothy Thatcher has become one of the most respected wrestlers in the world, excelling in the European scene especially, alongside his US appearances. A trainee of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett, Thatcher began his career in the West Coast indie scene in 2005 and went on to work with All Pro Wrestling (APW) and Championship Wrestling From Hollywood among others. In 2014, he expanded to national promotions, working with EVOLVE Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and others, including branching into the UK scene with RevPro, PROGRESS Wrestling, Preston City Wrestling (PCW), and more.
In 2015, he was the final Open the Freedom Gate Champion for Dragon Gate USA and went on to become EVOLVE Champion for a record 596 days. While he made his wXw debut in 2013, he wouldn’t become a regular until 2015, and in 2017 he would join Ringkampf as their first North American member. An imposing figure in the ring, he won wXw World Tag Team gold with WALTER in 2017, but this marks his first singles title win in wXw.
