NXT UK Moving to Thursdays Starting Next Week

NXT UK Roster Update

On today’s episode of NXT UK, it was announced at the beginning of the show that starting next week, the series will be moving days. While it will remain in the 3:00 pm EST (8:00 pm BST) timeslot, it will now air on Thursdays going forward, starting with next week’s episode on Thursday, October 3rd.

NXT UK Moving to Thursdays

The British NXT Brand made its WWE Network premier as a new show highlighting the United Kingdom and European based talents signed to their UK banner, debuting on the WWE Network on October 17, 2018. The UK brand of NXT was initially launched via a United Kingdom Championship tournament in January of 2017 – which saw Tyler Bate crowned the inaugural WWE UK Champion – and a follow-up tournament in April of 2018.

WWE took the British based brand to the next level with its own NXT TakeOver events, beginning with NXT TakeOver: Blackpool this past January and then TakeOver: Cardiff on August 31. With NXT going live on Wednesdays against All Elite Wrestling’s new show AEW Dynamite, WWE is clearing up the logjam of programming on Wednesday to a free day on Thursdays for the European brand.
