This past weekend saw Pro Wrestling Elite (PWE), the promotion that was owned and operated by the recently deceased Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum, host their 8th Anniversary Show in Ayr, Scotland (the Scottish wrestling community came together to ensure Lionheart’s last booked card went ahead as planned). Throughout the evening, we saw the crowning of two new champions as the promotion’s Heavyweight Championship, as well as the UEWA European Heavyweight Championship, would see two names leaving the building with slightly heavier suitcases.
#AndNEW: Grado Wins PWE Heavyweight Championship
In the main event of the show, Grado would capture the PWE Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his career after scoring a pinfall over “Just Justice” Jackie Polo, ending Polo’s reign at 77 days. His previous run with the title had lasted 511 days, the longest in Pro Wrestling Elite history.

Despite stating that he was honored to be the final PWE Heavyweight Champion, The Chubby Wee Chancer opted to instead lay the title down in the center of the ring, stating that the gold instead belonged to Lionheart. A class touch to end the last year show under the Pro Wrestling Elite banner.
#AndNEW: Andy Wild Wins UEWA European Heavyweight Championship
After the passing of Lionheart, the Union of European Wrestling Alliances (UEWA) was left without a European Heavyweight Champion. That all changed here though as Andy Wild would lift the gold after he defeated BT Gunn and Alexander Dean in a Triple Threat Match.

The Dad Bod God has made it public knowledge how proud he is to hold a title that’s previously been held by the likes of Drew Galloway, ‘Bad Bones’ John Klinger, and Rampage Brown. He now wants to defend the championship against as many different opponents in as many different promotions as he possibly can.
In other notable happenings from the event, Leyton Buzzard was victorious over The Sam Barbour Experience to remain the Scottish Wrestling Alliance (SWA) Scottish X Champion, The Purge (Krobar and Stevie James) defeated Liam Thomson and Kez Evans (replacing an injured Kid Fite) to hang on to the PWE Tag Team Championships, Jack Jester pinned “The King of Benidorm” Aaron Echo, and Debbie Keitel was successful in her match against Kasey.
