On Friday night at Shine 58, Shotzi Blackheart ended Aja Perera’s 189-day reign as the Shine Nova Champion, defeating her for her first piece of gold with Shine Wrestling. Shotzi made her Shine debut in 2017 at Shine 43, ironically in the tournament to crown the inaugural Nova Championship, losing in the first round to Kiera Hogan. The former Phoenix of RISE and IWA Mid South Women’s Champion is one of the top women’s stars on the indie circuit and even debuted with IMPACT Wrestling last year.

Following the match, Santana Garrett came out and attacked Blackheart, stealing the title, so it appears that the former Women of Wrestling (WOW) Champion is on the hunt for more gold.
