Why, Why, Why: Simon Miller Cleared To Return

A whole eight months after being sidelined with a serious shoulder injury, WhatCulture personality Simon Miller has been cleared to return to in-ring competition.

His announcement came on the most recent episode of Defiant Wrestling‘s weekly YouTube show Loaded, with Miller resigning as the assistant general manager in order to step back between the ropes as an active member of the roster. He claimed that ever since he decided to become a professional wrestler, there was a queue of people who claimed he shouldn’t be lacing up a pair of boots and donning a singlet. One of those men was Anti-Fun Police member Deputy Drake, with Drake ambushing Miller from behind. Despite being planted with the Ups & Downs powerslam, the Deputy used a wrench to further attack Simon until being chased off by Adam Foster and general manager Prince Ameen.

For those who keep up to date with Defiant Wrestling, you’ll remember that it was a few weeks ago on Loaded where Miller, alongside Joe Hendry and David Starr, was brutally beaten up by Gabriel Kidd, John Klinger, and The Anti-Fun Police (No Fun Dunne, Los Federales Santos Jr., and Deputy Drake). At the time, the status of Simon’s injury was still up in the air, meaning that every shot he took left the fans thinking about any further damage. Now though, we have our answer as Miller is returning to in-ring action. His first match will take place on Saturday, April 27th in Newcastle-upon-Tyne at the Loaded tapings, with the match airing at a later date.

That weekend is actually quite significant in the career of Simon Miller. It was April 28th, 2018 where he made his debut in last year’s No Regrets Rumble Match to a rapturous ovation. Will he receive the same sort of reaction when he comes through the curtain as a wrestler once again?
