Cherry Bomb Returns at RISE Legendary

At Friday night’s RISE Legendary event, All Elite Wrestling (AEW)‘s Allie came out during the Guardians of RISE Tag Team Championship match to even confront her long time friend/nemesis Rosemary, who was accompanying her proteges and tag champions Paradise Lost in their title defense against The Killer Death Machines. But while she initially came out with a black leather jacket and appeared to be regular Allie, the former 2x IMPACT Knockouts Champion, she removed it and it was revealed she had returned as Cherry Bomb, her persona prior to her joining IMPACT and being rebranded as Allie. With her trademark Cherry Bomb arm patch and a new Cherry Bomb T-shirt, she went straight for Rosemary and evened the odds for Jessicka Havok and Neveah. It was announced shortly after the match that at RISE Luminous, Cherry Bomb would face Rosemary in a Steel Cage match.

As Cherry Bomb, she was a long time competitor with SHIMMER, where she was tag team champions alongside Kimber Lee in the Kimber Bombs. It was the Kimber Bombs infatuation with Canadian indie wrestler Courtney Rush that caused Rush to splinter and become “The Demon Assassin” years ago in the two’s hometown promotion, Toronto’s Smash Wrestling. Allie last performed as Cherry Bomb in SHIMMER back in the summer of 2017, where she won a Fatal Four-Way at SHIMMER 94 against Kay Lee Ray, Taeler Hendrix and Paradise Lost’s Angel Dust (aka Zoey Skye).
