Bar Wrestling presents Four Touchdowns in a Single Game this Thursday, January 31st at the American Legion Post 241, 4725 Maine Ave. BELL TIME 9PM. These cards are a delicate mix of wrestling and debauchery. The Bar Wrestling cards are not only popular with SoCal fans but have attracted the attention of AEW, as they showed up at their most recent event.
RockNES Monsters & Watts & Tyler Bateman vs Ray Rosas, Ryan Taylor, Brandon Cutler, Joey Ryan
This match could go a million different ways when you look at the participants. That’s always the case with the “King of Dong Style” Joey Ryan. Ray Rosas is more controlled when not teaming up with Peter Avalon, Brandon Cutler is one of the great stories in California wrestling history, and nobody ever knows what Ryan Taylor is thinking. The RockNES Monsters recently beat Double Platinum to become four-time UWN Tag Team Champions and team with the powerhouse Watt, and “The Goddamn Man” Tyler Bateman who never mails it in. No matter what kind of show he’s in you get 100% aggression and effort. A pleasure to watch.
Luchasaurus vs Aaron Solow vs Jungle Boy vs Andy Brown
Jungle Boy recently signed with the aforementioned AEW and looks to prove their confidence valid by getting a big win Thursday. The raw talented youngster has a daunting task in front of him though. Ground Zero Champion Andy Brown is coming off a win in Imperial Beach against Bateman and looks to crash the victory party. Luchasaurus looks strange but can flat out wrestle. He can compete anywhere in the ring and will need to against opponents that can do the same. Aaron Solow lost to Ray Rosas last time out and hopes to rebound with an upset win.
Heather Monroe vs Keira Hogan
Heather Monroe went into her match at Bar 28 looking for a career-defining win against current IMPACT Women’s Champions Taya Valkyrie, but it was not to be. Monroe went into that match on fire with wins over Tyler Bateman and a tag win (Killer Baes) against the RockNES Monsters. However, Monroe has another extremely tough test. This time against young IMPACT Wrestling star Keira Hogan. The 24-year-old has already faced the likes of Taya Valkyrie, Tessa Blanchard, and Laurel Van Ness (NXT Superstar Chelsea Green) in her young career. A win for either of these ladies would be a big step forward in a very deep women’s division.
Worldwide Underground (Taya Valkyrie & PJ Black) vs Diamante & Maxx Stardom
Once again Taya Valkyrie and PJ Black team up in what should be a very physical match. All four participants like a fight and this should be no different. Expect things to get ugly and the rulebook to get thrown out the window on this one. Taya may wear fuzzy boots, but she isn’t afraid to mix it up and Diamante likes that just the same. Maxx Stardom (aka Major League Wrestling‘s Ricky Martinez) doesn’t really like anybody and that’s perfect because PJ Black doesn’t care. Fun match.
Brian Cage vs Jake Atlas
This is a great test for Jake Atlas. Atlas recently won Gold at PCW ULTRA, and a win against the E’Fin Machine would be the equivalent of winning another. Brian Cage is the number one contender for the IMPACT World Title is a vicious striker and delivers slams that send opponents to the hospital. This won’t intimidate Atlas, but a strike by Cage isn’t the same as what The Superstar may be used to. Atlas will want to keep distance and not trade shots. The last thing he wants is a war because his opponent will gladly oblige.
Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) vs Tessa Blanchard & Daga
This match will be great with four outstanding tacticians in the ring. The Lucha Brothers right now may be the best tag team pound for pound in the world. They win gold everywhere they enter. They can fly, or fight it makes no difference to the luchadores. Tessa and Daga have trained together and know each other well. They should not have the issues other teams that don’t work together as often may have. Tessa is one of the best women on Earth and her partner is no slouch. The Lucha Underground veteran knows their opponents well and that plays well to their team’s advantage. Likely match of the night.
