Founded in 2009 by longtime DDT Pro and Big Japan Wrestling (BJW) veteran Takashi Sasaki in 2009, FREEDOMS has emerged as a vanguard of Japanese hardcore wrestling. Jun Kasai has been a veteran of some of Japan’s bloodiest battles for the past 20 years, debuting in 1998 and becoming a staple with BJW early on. He’s also had wars in ZERO1, Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW), WRESTLE-1, All Japan and more in his two decades of bloodshed. Aside from being a 4x King of FREEDOM World Champion, Kasai is also a former DDT Pro Extreme Champion, multi-tag team champion in various promotions, and on previous US excursions, won gold with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) in the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship, CZW World Tag Team Championship (with MEN’s Teioh) and CZW Ultraviolent Underground Championship.
