CMLL Dia de Los Muertos: LA Park Against the Lucha Brothers, Sanson Retains

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre had their annual Dia de Los Muertos tour. The shows are in honor of the Dias de Los Muertos tradition in Mexico. Moreover, the shows have the tradition of a championship match that only occurs one day in the whole year.

One-third of Los Nuevos Dinamitas, Sanson defended his Rey del Inframundo championship against the young, up-and-coming, Templario. Sanson won the championship last year in a Torneo Cibernetico. This year, he had a solid match for his title against Templario. The two stars had great lucha with hard-hitting shots, but it was in the third fall that Sanson finished the job.

Sanson, alongside Cuatrero and Forastero, are part of the exciting trio known as Los Nuevos Dinamitas. The original group was the super heel unit, Los Hermanos Dinamitas, made up by Mascara Año 2000, Universo Dos Mil and Cien Caras. The Trio have a big legacy in CMLL and in AAA. Now, their offspring are reviving their legacy and they aren’t disappointing.

LA Park had fun in his usual Halloween mask. He and the last two winners of CMLL Grand Prix, Diamante Azul and Michael Elgin, defeated the dream team of Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix and Ultimo Guerrero. The match went to their usual three falls, with LA Park finishing things off. This main event was a curious thing, because it showed that Fenix, the AAA Mega Champion, has been booked more by CMLL than AAA, where he is the main champion.

In other matches, Mistico, Atlantis & Hijo de LA Park beat Barbaro Cavernario, Mephisto and Ephesto. Also, El Terrible, Rey Bucanero & Hechicero beat Audaz, Angel de Oro & Stuka Jr. The latter was participating alongside Guerrero Maya Jr. in Ring of Honor’s Survival of the fittest.
