Earlier today, a report from SEScoops stated they’d discovered that WWE Legends Chris Jericho and Jim Ross were looking into starting a new super promotion in professional wrestling, bankrolled by billionaire Shahid Khan, the Pakistani-American businessman that owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham F.C. of the English Premier League. Super agent Barry Bloom, who manages multiple wrestling stars, would also be working with the promotion, The Elite (Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Marty Scurll) would be joining that, and that AXS TV was working to get a TV deal in place for the companies debut in late 2019 or early 2020. But it didn’t take long for some of the Named to come forward with statements.
The first came in a very succinct businesslike fashion from AXS TV, the reported TV rights interest. A spokesman for AXS TV responded to Wrestling Inc. after the rumor went viral, “There’s no truth to the AXS TV component,” effectively withdrawing them from the report.
Chris Jericho wasn’t so businesslike. As word reached Chris Jericho, he simply responded on Twitter in the way only Chris Jericho can retort:
I’m starting my own wrestling company? AWESOME! Im also starting my own movie studio w #LadyGaga, my own carwash w #Bono & my own bakeshop!

Chris Jericho’s “good news” brought many of his famous friends out of the woodwork, obviously trying to get a few hand-me downs from Khan’s money.
I’m opening a company that makes custom made coat hangers for hunchbacks if you’re interested in investing.
