SummerSlam 2026 is a week away. The Biggest Party of the Summer will take place at the US Bank Stadium in Minnesota. It will be the 39th edition of the PLE, and the second to feature as a two-night spectacle.
Much of the card is set in place. Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Liv Morgan, Charlotte Flair and Seth “Freakin” Rollins are all confirmed for marquee matchups. In addition, former SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis will make his WWE debut against Gunther.
The returning Nikki Bella will also team up with her sister and Paige to face Fatal Influence. Speaking of comebacks, SummerSlam has developed a reputation for hosting some massive surprises in the last decade. The WWE Universe can expect that trend to continue next weekend in Minneapolis.
On that note, let’s look at 4 major returns that could happen at SummerSlam 2026.
#4. “Big” Bronson Reed Returns to Help the Vision Retain the World Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam 2026
As of the time of writing, there is no World Tag Team Championship match scheduled for SummerSlam. However, WWE has been running an angle between the Vision, the current Tag Team Champions, and the Alpha Academy. Maxxine Dupri’s betrayal is the centerpiece of the storyline.
The crowd is rallying behind Otis, and it doesn’t make much sense to keep Bron Breakker off the card. Hence, we can expect the Vision vs. the Alpha Academy to be announced in the coming days. As much as fans would love to see Otis get his revenge, it doesn’t appear as if the titles will be changing hands at SummerSlam.

The Vision has undergone some changes recently. The group is headed in a different direction. Therefore, it makes sense to recruit new members or welcome back older ones. Enter “Big” Bronson Reed. The Auszilla suffered an untimely injury days before Elimination Chamber 2026 that put him on the sidelines.
As indicated by his recent social media posts, his recovery has gone well. Furthermore, Logan Paul recently stated that Reed would be returning soon. SummerSlam is a fitting location to return and make an immediate impact. The former NXT North American Champion could help his buddies retain the World Tag Team Championships.
