A truly unthinkable heel turn could be on the horizon for one of WWE’s universally loved WWE Raw superstars. Chad Gable has recently redesigned himself as the world’s most remorseful man. He’s been apologizing to everyone on WWE Raw, with most gleefully accepting Gable’s sincere pleas.
We all looked on in hope for one of WWE’s most heartfelt moments.
Chad Gable and Otis Bromance Reignited
This moment is Gable and Otis burying the hatchet. Out of all whom Gable had wronged, there was none more so than Otis. All the way back in 2024, Gable tested out being an absolute jerk by bullying longtime buddy Otis.
Otis gained the loudest crowd reactions during this time as fans demanded he free himself from Gable and his abusive behavior. Otis did stand up for himself, but it only fuelled Gable on to turn towards the dark side.
Gable got a thirst for meanness and, not quenched by turning on Otis, set his sights on all of Mexico.
Gable’s 14-month reign of terror as El Grande Americano came to an end last month. He stood in London’s O2 Arena – cap in hand – this week to own up to his bad behavior to Otis and the rest of Alpha Academy. British fans were giddy with anticipation at the prospect of seeing Otis and Gable hug it out.
The embrace would have rivaled the British Bulldog beating Bret Hart at WWE SummerSlam 1992 for top UK WWE moments. But Maxxine Dupri said no on behalf of Alpha Academy.
Otis Is Set for Unthinkable Turn
Otis has been the most-loved superstar for years. Unlucky in love, hungry, fiercely loyal, charismatic and an advertising dream. Certain PLE highlights have been Otis flogging whatever product WWE wants backstage.
It is unthinkable that Otis would turn on his winning personality and Gable. But with Dupri adamant that Gable doesn’t deserve forgiveness, Otis mindlessly following a pretty blonde is inevitable. Poor Tozawa could be a victim of an Otis turn. Fans would hate to see Otis turn on Tozawa and Gable. It would kill the Alpha Academy for good, a group so popular WWE once allowed fans to join as honorary members.
This shocking WWE Raw heel turn could come this week as Gable faces JD McDonagh. Otis could strip himself of everything we love him for – the innocence, joy, mullet, dancing and likability – and be a monster heel with Dupri in his corner.
WWE SummerSlam 2026
Gable seems set on a match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his home state of Minnesota.
But could fellow Minnesota star Otis derail this at WWE SummerSlam? Otis could cost Gable the potential match in August. This could lead to the two men facing off in front of friends and family.
