The finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will be held this Saturday at Night of Champions. For the men, Jey Uso and Oba Femi will face off. IYO SKY and Liv Morgan will be competing for the women. The winner will get a guaranteed match at SummerSlam on August 1 and 2. What’s interesting is that Morgan is already a champion. She beat Stephanie Vaquer at night one of WrestleMania: Vegas to become the WWE Women’s World Champion.
Despite that, she was put in the bracket for the Queen of the Ring tournament anyway. She had to fight her way through the bracket to get to the finals. Defeating Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, and Chelsea Green in a fatal four-way in the first round was impressive.
Pinning Charlotte Flair in the semifinals was equally exciting. But she has to face IYO SKY in the finals. SKY held the title for 132 days last summer. If Morgan isn’t careful, she’ll win and potentially take the title back at SummerSlam.

This year’s Royal Rumble match was also in Saudi Arabia. The PLE took place at the Riyadh Season Stadium, while this Saturday’s PLE will be held at Kingdom Arena. Morgan entered the women’s rumble at number 14. She lasted 43 minutes and 50 seconds while eliminating three women, including runner-up Tiffany Stratton. The win gave her the chance to pick a champion to face at WrestleMania: Vegas.
She chose Vaquer and the WWE Women’s World Championship a few weeks later. In a great match, she won the title, holding it ever since. SKY had a great pairing with Rhea Ripley, but after a mutual split following the loss of their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Lash Legend and Nia Jax, she went back to chasing singles titles.
She beat Giulia, Lash Legend, and Roxanne Perez in the first round. Then she won against Raquel Rodriguez in the semi-finals, setting up Saturday’s match.

On the June 22, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw, she was interviewed by Jackie Redmond in the ring. Redmond said that the fans were excited to see her and asked her if she was excited. SKY said that she was grateful that she’s in the finals and that she’ll beat Morgan on Saturday.
Morgan came out and said she was the greatest WWE Women’s Champion of all time. She told SKY that she wasn’t beating her on Saturday because the crowd knows that she’s the better wrestler.
The fans began to boo as she said that she was more talented. Then she said she was the most talented woman in the division, with the crown being the only thing missing. She told SKY that if she wins, she’ll be the first simultaneous WWE Women’s World Champion and Queen of the Ring winner.
Then she told everyone that she’ll be facing Ripley, who is the current WWE Women’s World Champion, and take her title as well. SKY responded to her speech in an excellent way. She questioned if the crown would be able to fit on her big head. Then she said Morgan was arrogant and began to speak Japanese while waving her finger.
Morgan headbutted her and tried to toss her out of the ring. But she held on to the ropes and kicked her in the face. Then she dropkicked her, did a front flip, and then did her signature pointing motion as Morgan rolled out of the ring. It’ll be interesting to see who will win on Saturday.
Will Morgan win and potentially become double champion at SummerSlam, or will SKY win to force a rematch if she doesn’t want to face her friend? No matter what happens, it’ll be a great match to end the Queen of the Ring tournament.
