Liv Morgan Advances to Queen of the Ring 2026 Tournament Finals on 6/19 WWE SmackDown

The WWE Queen of the Ring 2026 tournament has been a sight to behold, with all of WWE’s heaviest hitters in the women’s division convening to fight it out in a gauntlet that will determine a number one contender for either the WWE Women’s or Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2026. Out of a field of 16, only four were left, with Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan fighting out in the semis on this week’s WWE SmackDown.

Both Morgan and Flair went through hell and back to advance to the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, and Friday night, their competitive spirit really did come out. Liv vowed that she would become Queen of the Ring and become a double champion, effectively setting up a Champion vs. Champion match for the WWE Women’s Title at SummerSlam 2026.

Charlotte Flair, on the other hand, hasn’t been champion since 2022. Fortunately for Flair, teaming up with Alexa Bliss and becoming WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions brought her career new life, as the “Queen” seems like she’s on the roll of her life, as she finds herself one step away from being in the finals at Night of Champions against IYO SKY.

As you can imagine, these two future Hall-of-Famers would go at it in a match that rocked the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

Charlotte Flair was more than ready for this match, only to get attacked prior to the match by Jade Cargill and her crew, leaving her leg injured. On multiple occasions, before and during the SmackDown, GM Nick Aldis and her best friend Alexa Bliss pleaded with her not to go through with it, but Flair was defiant and put on a gutsy performance, almost winning the match with a Figure-Four Leg Lock.

Morgan would ride the pain through and reverse the pressure, locking in a Single Leg Boston Crab on the injured limb. Still, Charlotte would find it in herself to get to the ropes and slide out of the ring. One final time, Bliss and Aldis said she put up a good fight and told her it’s not worth it.

Flair told them to get out of her face, remarking that “it’s worth it to her.” In an amazing display, Flair would get in the ring only to eat an ObLIVion. Morgan would pin her, and Flair would kick out. But this comeback was not meant to last, as Morgan synched in the Single Leg Boston Crab, making Charlotte finally submit.

Liv Morgan is a couple of steps away from becoming a double champion, as she faces off against IYO SKY in the finals of the Queen of the Ring 2026 tournament at Night of Champions!
