WWE Raw returns stateside in time for the FIFA World Cup, kicking off. But move aside, Ivory Coast and Ecuador, WWE’s fantastic King & Queen of the Ring semifinals take place.
It’s hard to argue that the most probable winner of the King of the Ring is in action. But could some shenanigans derail everyone’s pick to win the male tournament? The Tribal Chief is also set to appear on WWE Raw, which means it’ll have a big feel in Baltimore, MD. WWE Raw emanates from the CFG Bank Arena, which hosted the 2nd King of the Ring tournament in 1992.

King & Queen of the Ring Semifinals
The two favorites in the King & Queen of the Ring tournament are in action on WWE Raw this week. On paper, Oba Femi should obliterate Dominik Mysterio. But with “Dirty” Dom, there’s always a chance of a major upset.
The big question surrounding Femi is: when does Brock Lesnar return and cost him the crown? Does he wait for the tournament final at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, or does he hit him in Baltimore on Monday?
There’s a real outside chance Lesnar lets Femi win the whole thing and chooses to strike during his big reward match for a major title at WWE SummerSlam. But if Lesnar shows up on Monday, it plays into the hands of Mysterio, who could meet former brother Finn Bálor in the final.
Mysterio’s beau, Liv Morgan, claims to have a plan to help him overcome Femi. He has already pulled off the shock of the tournament when he won a four-way against Bron Breakker, Trick Williams and Damian Priest.
Queen of the Ring

I’d absolutely love to see Raquel Rodriguez make it through to the final. The dynamic of her facing Liv Morgan and the drama that will cause shouldn’t be avoided. But it’s hard to see any outcome that isn’t IYO Sky heading into Saudi Arabia to compete for the Queen of the Ring crown. She’s too popular and too good not to be involved in that show. Plus, SKY vs. Ripley is a serious box office bout for WWE SummerSlam that, if built right, could close the show.
Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns
Seth Rollins was – to the shock of nobody – cost a place in the KOTR semifinals by Bron Breakker last week. I see a lot of similarities between Seth Rollins and adorable Mogwi Gizmo at the moment. It’s as if he got wet and spawned The Vision. The group that emerged from his back is now a bunch of feral Gremlins.

Bron Breakker is definitely the one with the eyes that spin around. Heyman is the one who learns to talk. Logan Paul is the one who grows wings, and Austin Theory is the one with no discernible character. Anyway, if you haven’t seen Gremlins, I’ve probably lost you now. But what I’m trying to say is Gizmo will have his headband and flaming bow and arrow at the ready to take down those pesky Gremlins on WWE Raw.
Finally, Roman Reigns will be in the house to keep a close eye on the King of the Ring tournament. The Tribal Chief very well might face the winner at WWE SummerSlam. Finally, finally – now that Chad Gable has apologized to every luchador he’s ever wronged, could he be in line for a WWE Intercontinental title shot?
