Results From AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster Tonight (6/10/26)

Tommaso Ciampa came face-to-face with Chris Jericho

Tony Schiavone welcomed Ciampa to the ring. The Psycho Killer proceeded to harass Schiavone, urging him to say again that he was better than Jericho. Fortunately for Schiavone, the veteran entered to much fanfare to Ciampa’s chagrin. Jericho bald-shamed Ciampa and then called him Tommy. He continued to hurl insults at Ciampa before asking him why he’s been targeting him. Finished with the mean comments, Jericho brawled with Ciampa until security had had enough of it.

More dissent in the Don Callis Family

Renee Paquette attempted to ask Kevin Knight about the previous week. Callis took over, boasting of a potential AEW World Championship match with MJF until Andrade El Idolo justifiably expressed his frustrations. Knight casually strolled past Idolo while Callis informed him he’d get his chance sooner or later.

Jon Moxley (c) defeated Shane Taylor for the AEW Continental Championship

Moxley slithered toward a cautious Taylor, who took the initiative to corner him. They traded forearms until Taylor made his opening with body shots to the champion. Moxley responded with a dropkick and an elbow suicida to his challenger. Taylor shrugged it off by tossing Moxley into the timekeeper’s table. Moxley’s woe grew, courtesy of a leg drop on the apron. The champ swung a comeback with lariats. A lateral press and a Cobra Clutch returned control to Taylor’s hands. Cincinnati willed Moxley to his feet, only for Taylor to chop him back down. With an Ankle Lock and a Curb Stomp, Moxley tapped Taylor out with a Bulldog Choke.

Post-match: Carlie Bravo tossed Taylor a belt, which he used to whip and choke out Moxley. Shane Taylor Promotions rushed at the ringside to equalize the Death Riders.

Match review:

Love that this felt like a definitive statement from Shane Taylor Promotions. This could be huge for the group, and I’m excited to see it happen. Moxley sold well for Taylor, leaving him looking like a credible threat befitting the tough image of Shane Taylor Promotions. The post-match solidified that.

Don Callis and Kevin Knight were interrupted by Darby Allin

Callis introduced Knight. Knight besmirched the Cincinnati crowd, MJF, Darby Allin, and Speedball Mike Bailey. He then encouraged anyone from the back to come meet him in the ring. Darby Allin charged in to everyone’s surprise to assault the AEW TNT Champion. He told him he hoped the attack in New York was worth it before skedaddling from a Don Callis Family chase.

Mark Briscoe defeated PAC

Briscoe tangled PAC, torquing his shoulder and twisting it. PAC charged at him, absorbing chops to the chest to fire back with a boot that shot Briscoe outside. Briscoe bodyslammed PAC and punctured him with an elbow drop. The Delaware native dropped his British opponent with a Cross-Arm Iconoclasm. PAC targeted the midsection, following up with a German suplex. Briscoe denied a couple of Brainbusters, seeking a vertical suplex that teetered both men over the top rope. PAC drove up his knees to quell Briscoe’s Froggy Bow to fling him around with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Briscoe sent PAC packing with a Jay Driller.

Post-match: Briscoe demanded MJF come out. The AEW World Champion obliged, giving context as to why Briscoe shouldn’t be challenging for his belt. To him, Briscoe wasn’t worthy of even having a title shot. He also decried the notion of having friends when money is also an option. Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson ambushed Briscoe, assaulting him until The Conglomeration came to his rescue. Briscoe informed MJF he wasn’t the boss, that Tony Khan is, and issued a six-man tag team match in a steel cage.

Match review: PAC and Briscoe are oddly well-suited for each other. Excellent chemistry here.

Andrade El Ídolo defeated Orange Cassidy

Ídolo and Cassidy twirled around one another. Cassidy reached to put his hands in his pockets before zipping up Ídolo’s. Ídolo retorted by removing his pants. Cassidy did the same, revealing another pair of denim sweatpants underneath. A dropkick scattered Ídolo outside. Ídolo subverted all of Cassidy’s maneuvers to bang him around with Eddie Guerrero’s Three Amigos. Cassidy countered with a Stundog Millionaire. Ídolo took a selfie with a woman in the audience while Lio Rush attempted one with both him and Cassidy. Rush told Idolo that “he knows,” to which Idolo asked how he knew. Cassidy took advantage of this with a Tornado-DDT.

Ídolo drove his knees into Cassidy in the corner of the ring. A quick back-and-forth from Cassidy and Ídolo resulted in a slap by the latter that collapsed both due to sheer exhaustion. Cassidy rejected Ídolo’s Spanish Fly by simply shoving him over onto the ramp. A Diving-DDT planted Ídolo on the entrance. Cassidy tried an Orange Punch, which Ídolo countered with two DMs.

Post-match: Ídolo, with the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, asked the Ohio crowd how they knew. They chanted “How You Know?” before and after this.

Match review: An interesting mix of styles. They made it work to both of their athletic and comedic strengths.

Will Ospreay consoled Alex Windsor

Acknowledging Forbidden Door and All in around the corner, Ospreay expressed that the Death Riders had influenced his in-ring skill. His promo would be interrupted as Alex Windsor ran to his arms, sobbing.

Death Riders were unhappy with Shane Taylor Promotions

Jon Moxley could barely choke out a few words. Marina Shafir expressed her anger. Daniel Garcia took over the promo, challenging for a five-on-five match between the Death Riders and Shane Taylor Promotions on June 13, 2026, at AEW Collision.

Maya World defeated Skye Blue in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Semi-Final

Blue promptly jumped World, bullying her into the ropes. World replied with a leg lariat. Using her legs, Blue kept World firmly planted to the mat. World escaped Blue’s shoulders, clobbering her with elbows. Blue regained control with a Neckbreaker to the entrance ramp. World and Blue battled for German suplexes, with the former winning out with a sound thud. She blocked Blue’s knee strike to bridge a suplex. A Shining Wizard again knocked Blue flat. World kept the momentum with a step-up enzuguiri, while Blue resorted to a knee strike. Blue stole a comeback with a Cutter. World stopped a Code Blue to sneak a win with a roll-up for an upset.

Match review: This was already an emotional match, but World getting the win was absolutely the call. Not because of the tragic circumstances of having lost her late brother, but because she and Hyan had worked hard to get signed to AEW. She put in the work, and it paid off against someone who is a prominent enough name in an important tournament.

NJPW star challenged Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door

Zack Sabre Jr wanted to go toe-to-toe with Kenny Omega in San Jose, California, on June 28.

MJF recruited the Don Callis Family

The AEW World Champion quickly won over Callis with a briefcase full of money. Callis happily agreed to have his men join MJF in the six-man cage match at Forbidden Door. Kevin Knight reiterated to MJF that he wanted his title match. Andrade pulled Callis aside, stressing that he better not fall to the wayside in terms of title shots. Someone, either in production or on commentary, whispered, “How you know?” and I heard it.

Swerve Strickland defeated Brody King in the Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Semi-Final

The Ohio crowd began the match with anti-ICE chants as King dominated the early stretch with holds. He shoved Strickland’s head directly into the ring post and cannonballed to him outside. Strickland carved out some space for himself with a devious Swerve Stomp to King on a chair by the barricade. King pummeled Strickland in the corner. Strickland nearly powerbombed King from the top rope, instead opting for a Spanish Fly. King tried another powerbomb, but Strickland slipped up top to his opponent’s shoulders for a second Swerve Stomp. At last, King landed a powerbomb on the commentary desk.

The pair exchanged chops, with King’s being the more devastating of the two. Strickland’s House Call barely fazed King, who flattened him with a lariat. Strickland sent King into an exposed turnbuckle, leaving the giant oozing blood from his forehead. Another House Call failed to dent King. From high above, a House Call toppled King, yet couldn’t put him away. King crashed Strickland into the corner with a Death Valley Driver. Prince Nana distracted King and nearly got choked out. King piledrove Strickland to no avail. Strickland slipped out of King’s Gonzo Bomb to dash his hopes as he stole Hangman Page’s Deadeye to win the match.

Match review: As Tony Schiavone put it, “What a main event.” King had to be pecked at again and again to be put away, and even then it was doubtful for Strickland. They have incredible chemistry, and I hope it one day secures King’s spot in the main event scene.

Final Thoughts

A great episode from top to bottom. No squash matches. Every match had time and made everyone look good. Shane Taylor, Maya World, and Brody King, they all came across very well against their more popular opponents. Orange Cassidy and Andrade El Idolo kind of stole the show for me due to how their differing styles meshed well to provide a fun match.

Addressing the elephant in the room, I’m disappointed that Sareee nor Takumi Iroha (Sareee’s proposed replacement) were able to feature tonight. That said, this made Maya World’s entry to the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament a great start. I’m manifesting a Cinderella Story situation for her!
